Bartlett was founded from the perception of an historic window of opportunity for onshore U.S. oil and gas exploration, development, production, acquisition and services arising from an unprecedented convergence of industry and market factors including:  
- An industry paradigm shift to the development of unconventional shale resources 
- A temporary abatement in energy commodity demand from historic highs set immediately prior to the recent recession
- An investment environment of abnormally cautious and constrained capital markets

Bartlett’s associates are both companies and individuals who bring opportunities, expertise and/or capital to their affiliation with the Company, in exchange for sponsorship of their own projects or to participate in Bartlett sponsored projects.  Our associates provide both a tremendous resource for the origination and evaluation of investment concepts and opportunities as well as the expertise and financial resources needed to successfully evaluate and execute on the opportunities presented. 

In support of its objectives Bartlett is seeking to raise and manage a variety of investment funds so that we may also make significant capital commitments to our sponsored opportunities.  Our compensation philosophy for management of these funds will be the same as with our associates businesses and projects:  Bartlett will earn its primary return from the success of the sponsored investments and in close alignment with our investors’ interests.
